Bagasse is a pulp fiber material made from ground up sugar cane reed stalk. It’s composition looks and feels like a paper pulp substrate. It is very resistant to food oils and can tolerate heat from a microwave or an oven as well as withstand a frozen environment. Bagasse is a compostable material that decomposes in about 180 days under normal compost conditions.

Bamboo is a compostable material that decomposes in about 180 days under normal compost conditions.

3/ WOOD

Disposable foodservice wood products come from a variety of trees and are ideal for products like cutlery and serving utensils. Since wood fibers are from a natural source these products can be recycled or composted under normal compost conditions.

4/ PLA

PLA stands for polylactic acid and is the sucrose material from the kernels of corn. It’s composition looks and feels like clear plastic. It is very sensitive to heat and frozen environments. PLA is a compostable material that decomposes in about 180 days under normal compost conditions.
